Hi there – I’m Hillary!
Glad you stopped by – I’m not too sure how to do this whole introduction thing but I will give it a try. Right now I am on a six month internship with the Children’s Dignity Forum, an inspiring NGO working to eradicate child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM) in Tanzania in beautiful Tarime – a small town in Mara Region (I think it’s pretty great that Google knows nothing about it).
I get loud when I talk about injustice and at this point in my life, I am really done with apologizing for it. This blog is a space to share everyday stories and to talk development. I hope you will join me and add your own thoughts – after all, that’s the best way to learn from one another!
Hi Hillary – I’m Rachel’s mom and since she does not seem to have a blog yet, I am checking yours out! Hope that the two of you are having a great experience in Tanzania. I really appreciated your comments about international development and how important it is to know what you don’t know! I look forward to reading more of your commentary and hope that Rachel will be commenting as well!
